Rippl padded shorts

Had these for two weeks now, eight skate sessions thus far. Coming from the Triple 8 “Bumsavers”. As a transition skater at 60 years of age, I wear all the safety gear I can, so long as I can still move, bend and flex when needing to, lol.
Despite the odd sizing (3XL fits waist sizes 32-40”), these were a revelation. Velcro fly and waist band eases putting these on and taking them off. Have to adjust the hip pads to sit in place, but have to do that with the T8’s too. They are comfortable, yet still provide the hip and tailbone protection I seek. Unlike the T8’s, I can wear my normal waist size shorts/pants, have to size up for the T8’s. The Rippl’s have 5 total pads, vs. 11 on the T8’s, yet they provide about the same amount of protection. Am a fan, and given they are in the $40 range, which is significantly less than competitors. Yet to try the OBT ones, but those run $90 or so-otherwise am a huge fan of OBT products. Well done Rippl! Five stars.
